Unconditionally tenacious.

I have a friend that’s extremely real with me. She’ll call me out on my bullshit when I don’t smell it (or when I smell it but want to pretend it’s not there). There are times I hate her. But I mostly love her because she’s courageous enough to hurt my feeling if it means making me better.

It’s the hardest thing in the world to tell our friends what they need to hear versus what they want to hear, it’s selfish not to. Our love for the people in our corner should be both unconditional and tenacious.

Love your friends unconditionally, even when they’re acting like jackasses, but be tenacious enough to give them a good verbal ass-kicking when they need it most.

One day these one minute writings will be a big book called “One Minute, Please.” Can I let you know when that day comes? You can say yes, here.
