Bald Eagle.

One of the best things I ever did was shave my head. For a long time, I’d spend more time than I’d like to admit looking at myself in the mirror, analyzing where the strands fell, admiring how it looked, worrying over whether or not I’d one day lose it. But then I shaved it. And, when I shaved it, something changed, immediately.

I stopped worrying so much about what I saw in the mirror and I started focusing on the brain behind the hair, behind the ears, behind the face. I started reading more and thinking more and creating more. And, I’m sure it all sounds silly. But, today, I no longer worry about being the best looking guy in the room. I want to be the smartest. I want to be the most creative. I want to be the most thoughtful. I want to be the most interesting. But, I could give a shit less about being the best looking.

I want to be everything I wasn’t born to be.

I want to be everything I’ve worked like hell to build.

P.S. One day these one minute writings will be a big book called “One Minute, Please.” Can I let you know when that day comes? You can say yes, here.
